Physical appearance: An attractive girl with an elegant look. She has short, shiny black hair (I don't really know how to describe the shape ><") and straight bangs. Her dark eyes are heavy-lidded, and there are light freckles across her petite nose. She has thin lips that rarely lift into a smile. Her skin tone is a healthy kind of pale, and she has various small scars from her lifetime of training.
Clothing: Almost always wears a long, flowing red robe with black and gold triangle accents at the ends of the sleeves and hem, and a black stripe edged with gold triangles down the middle. She wears practical black shoes and black, rectangular glasses. She has a tan messenger-type bag that holds her necessary supplies, such as her books, plants, and food.
Personality: Due to her upbringing, Roi is deathly serious and places her job above all else. She is very curt, dry, and reserved. She tends to talk in a drawl, and is nearly always frowning or stonefaced. Her usual response to anything is a scowl, glare, or wrinkle of her nose. She is an intelligent tomboy who loves her masculine name, Roi (King), as she has zero interest in relationships, feeling that working or reading are a much better use of time. If anyone actually manages to befriend her, Roi retains her sharp tongue and sarcasm, but they will be rewarded with the occasional smile or dry joke, and a lifetime of fierce loyalty.
Strengths and weaknesses: Roi's magic is incredibly powerful, due to her lineage, training, and natural talent; addtionally, she can masterfully wield her staff as a weapon. Unfortunately, Roi's training deemed any other combat arts unncessary, and so she is useless in any area besides magic and bashing people with staves. Also, she is forbidden from dark magic. She has some knowledge of alchemy, but cannot identify plants. Her logic is both a strength and weakness; she can solve problems or formulate plans in seconds, but cannot add emotion into her spells for boosted strength.
Magic: Roi specializes in combative magic, though she can use some healing spells as well. She has been forbidden to use any dark magic whatsoever, no matter what the situation.
History: Roi grew up in a prestigious family of mages. Roi's grandmother raised her, training her mercilessly to become a mage who could live up to the family name. Roi was talented, a quick learner, and, even more importantly, wanted above all else to be a mage. Her childhood was spent reading spellbooks, experimenting with alchemy, learning the Mage's Code of Conduct, and sparring with her grandmother. She grew into one of the most powerful mages in Demagique history, though her family's creed of "Reason over emotion" caused her to become excessively logical and cost her the ability to add emotional strength to her spells. She only recently graduated into official mage status, and is now traveling the world, slowly building her reputation by helping those in need.
Weapons: The only weapon Roi carries is her mage's staff. It is a slender golden staff topped by a large clear crystal orb, with two sharp curves extending up above it. Additionally, the bottom of the staff has a wickedly sharp, triangular base that can, along with the curves, be used for physical combat.
